Man City are struggled to exert the sort of control their head coach demands. They look unusually vulnerable and, with Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and fit-again Kevin De Bruyne likely to be absent, we're likely to see a similarly funky lineup to the one that beat reigning Asian Champions League winners Urawa Reds on Tuesday.

Surprisingly, for one of Brazil's most famous clubs, Fluminense's Copa Libertadores triumph in early November was the first time crowned South American champions. Former Real Madrid left-back Marcelo rejoined his former club in February to help make that happen. Watch out for forward John Kennedy who got the winner against Boca Juniors in the Copa final and bagged another in the semis of this competition against CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly.

With the tournament set for a major overhaul in time for the next edition in 2025, whoever wins can legitimately call themselves world champions for over 18 months. You won’t want to miss today's dramatic Man City vs Fluminense Club World Cup final, and we’ve all the details you need to watch from anywhere down below.

The Citizens overcame Urawa Reds 3-0 in the semi-finals, while the Brazilian outfit reached this stage courtesy of a 2-0 win over Al-Ahly in the last four.

Pep Guardiola will be looking to win a record fourth Club World Cup title as a manager, with Fernando Diniz looking to cause a big upset.

Despite Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku's return to training, the trio are ineligible for the final as the rule states that players from only the 23-man squad selected for the semi-finals can feature for the showdown event.

Matheus Nunes put on a show against Urawa, but may need to step down to accommodate Julian Alvarez up front, with Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish just behind.

As such, Mateo Kovacic should partner Rodri in the middle, while there might be recalls for the likes of Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol in the backline.

Diniz will have the liberty of naming an unchanged XI from the Al-Ahly victory, making 43-year-old Fabio the oldest player to play in a Club World Cup final.

Similarly, 40-year-old Felipe Melo can become the oldest outfield player in Friday's final, alongside Nino at centre-back.

At the same time, left-back Marcelo is in line to become the second player after Toni Kroos (six) to appear in five Club World Cup finals.

Andre and Matheus Martinelli will feature in the middle, with German Cano supported in attack by Jhon Arias, Ganso and Keno.

It will be the first time City have ever faced the Brazilian giants and Copa Libertadores champions in their history. The reigning Premier League champions comfortably beat Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds in their semi-final on Tuesday evening to reach the final.

Fluminense, meanwhile, eased past Egyptian giants Al-Ahly to book their place in Friday's showpiece, with the Brazilian giants also having never won the tournament.

Guardiola will be without star striker Erling Haaland for the final with Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku also out. All three players are carrying injuries, but FIFA rules on the Club World Cup state that players not included in the 23-player semifinal squad cannot be included for the final.

However, Guardiola is likely to tweak his starting team, with Julian Alvarez and Josko Gvardiol tipped as potential starters in Jeddah.

Fluminense secured a 2-0 semifinal win over Al Ahly to set up a date with City and their starting XI will feature high profile names including veteran duo Felipe Melo and Marcelo, alongside the highly-rated Andre in midfield.

Both sides passed their semifinal tests with relative ease but City are still justifiably favourites to go on and win the final in Jeddah. Despite the competition previously having three Brazilian winners, this is also Fluminense's first appearance in the final, and Guardiola will be confident of his fourth title as a manager in this tournament.

The reigning Champions League winners, Manchester City, are Europe’s representative and defeated Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds on Tuesday. They are hoping to add a new trophy to their collection this evening as they face Brazilian side Fluminense in Saudi Arabia.

The Copa Libertadores champions have struggled domestically this season but reached the final after beating Al Ahly 2-0 in the other semi-final. City are hoping to win the tournament for the first time in the club’s history and claim five trophies in a calendar year.

Manchester City will look to add another trophy to their collection as they face Brazilian side Fluminense in the Club World Cup final tonight in Saudi Arabia.

Neither side has ever reached the Club World Cup before, nor that of its forebear the Intercontinental Cup, and are now one game away from winning the whole thing.

European teams have enjoyed more than a decade of success since Brazil's Corinthians became the last side from outside the continent to claim the title.

City hope to become the fourth English team to be named world champions, after Chelsea's triumph two years ago added to Liverpool and Manchester United's titles.
